Grandma's Whip

You can barely see a face,
buried behind those shades,
but she don't give a damn,
'cuz her cataracts are safe.

prescription insoles,
feelin' the flow,
oldies playin' low,
on the way to the sto'.

Panty hose high.
Watch grandma fly.
27 in a 45
Middle-fingers in her eye.

Grandma don't care.
She's cruising in her whip.
a tricked out, suped-up,
Honda Civic, '96

Sportin' 20 inch rims.
Can't barely see no rubber.
Got those flashing neon lights
on the bottom of that sucker.

top speed 120,
but the engine's real loud.
She's drilled holes in the muffler,
to make that obnoxious sound.

bright green paint job,
barely legal tints,
big-ass apache wing,
on the back of that thing.

When she drives by the high school,
all the wannabes go nuts.
"Damn!  Even my purple Mitsubishi
ain't that hooked up!"

Drivin up to an intersection,
she stops at the light.
She looks out the window,
and sees some kid on a bike

Grandma revs her engine.
stairs this child in the eye
The kid stairs back.
It's racing time.

The light turns green,
but Grandma's a little slow.
Not even the honking and the cursing
can make Grandma go.

By now it's too late.
The kid is out of sight.
Grandma's straight loungin'
at the same damn light.

Grandma don't care.
She's chillin' in her whip,.
Her suped-up,
Bright green Honda is the shit.

I bid thee welcome, fellow traveler on The Truth Travel

Long enough have I deprived the world of my profoundly relevant meditations. Not realizing the grave injustice to society that I was performing, all these years I've selfishly deprived the public of my ideas, my contemplations, my realizations, my epiphanies, my gold nuggets of thought of the perpetually fertile plot of my mind. Well, I refuse to continue this egregious offense any longer. The time has come to expose, in unadulterated nudity, my genius. Fortune has smiled on you, oh curious reader. You have not traveled in vain, for your Journey of Truth has reached its apex. You must search no longer. Please sit, relax and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Eat from the apple of honesty, splurge on the grapes of courage, drink from the wine of wisdom, bathe in the bath of longevity, admire the flower of friendship and dance with the gnomes of knowledge. For the revelations that lie ahead will someday prove to be the most significant, influential and momentous works in the history of mankind.
