Homophobia Shouldn't Elicit Laughter

Eddie Murphy, in his stand-ups, repeatedly uses the word "fa****t" to derrogotively refer to homosexuals.  People should boo this, but instead people laugh when he tells a joke containing "fa***t".  Although I love Eddie Murphy's humor, I hate his public homophobia.  I don't think Eddie Murphy would laugh at a white comic who repeatedly used the word "ni****r".
